All...if all are willing to "act" in addition to complain here are two active steps that can be taken to affect E*Trade. ONE: Create an escrow account into which all who are motivated send funds for the largest NY Times ad we can afford. This ad copy states simply our view. Anything from "E*Trade Sucks" to "We Believe E*Trade Does Not Deliver." Whatever the agreed to headline, the body of the ad is our names, hundreds of names. Perhaps, someone here has print ad experience. TWO: Use the San Mateo Times and/or the San Jose Mercury classifieds to locate present and former E*Trade employees willing to give us the inside scoop on how E*Trade is really set-up;what instructions/training do employees receive for "handling" us, the customer. What's the "real story". Is there a "real story". We may discover that E*Trade is doing the best they can for the price and that they provide the biggest bang for the buck. The tough part of this is our level of trust with each other, our willingness to see this through, the division of labor (the worst kind of labor - all volunteer), an escrow account, copy writing, ad placement and payment, liason/interviews with E*Trade employees, and all the things I've left out. Am I off track here? Is this doable? Does anybody care to do it? Comments/thoughts/suggestions/legal ramifications?
