I am going to repost on SanDisk board as many people are perplexed by this.

We went through this on SNDK board when Samsung lost power five or six years ago - some "analysts" actually predicted a NAND shortage based on temporary loss of production.
I posted on this matter five / six years ago and said no big deal and they would be up and running very, very soon and they did.
Taiwan is exposed to earth quakes - so all the tools and fab operation should be more than "earthquake" compatible - even in Kalifornia.
