I strongly agree, Debt.

I have always believed that they will print the entitlements, which will ultimately be worth pennies (or fractions of a penny) on the dollar.

So, yes, retirees will get what they were promised, in cash. The funds simply won't have much extrinsic value.

Suddenly, it will dawn on the average man that he worked his entire life to put money in someone else's pocket and was left with nothing. What's his recourse? He has no recourse! After all, the value of the dollar was never guaranteed! -ng-

IMHO, what is happening now is that most elite stakeholders in the U.S. are padding their own retirements for a life anywhere of their choosing. They certainly won't be holding any clownbucks when all is said and done. The smart money will hold precious metals and simply shop around to see where the best lifestyles and values exist, relative to their precious metals.
