I am not talking about right away. But it seemed to me that I detected a glint of madness in Bernanke that reminded me of his reckless (judged in retrospect) remark some years ago that deflation could be easily prevented by simply dropping money from helicopters.

Now he says he can stop inflation any time he pleases. As if a driver of a souped-up '55 Chevy V-8 should say, "My brakes ain't so good but I can yank the parking brake any time and she'll stop!"

The big daddy should bounce at 116. If that level gives, I
would start worrying. Never mind, we should see a bounce
some time soon, 122.5 is also a level. -g-

I don't know if I should wrap myself in white sheet and
crawl to the nearest cemetery, but at least that level is
well defined in my book, 116 for the Big Daddy.
