Hold onto BORL synchro - I think their turnaround is proceeding well. Their big name tete-a-tetes with the likes of Oracle and SAP might just do the trick. Delphi's spectacular. Am learning MFC now - not easy - can see why those MFC programmers get the $100K salaries. Delphi's VCL appears on the face of it to be well designed and no one can deny the small fast executables that Delphi creates. Enterprise is the magic word with BORL - was doing some casual checking up on some of their would be competitors in this arena - Forte, Seer. Boy do they not look good and their earnings terrible. BORL may have a real shot. Their Entera and Midas product lines (middleware) look very good as well. Of course they have BCB which should continue to do quite well or at least until MSFT comes out with a true visual component type C++ in some future release. The ace in BORL's hand of course is JBuilder - my sense is this is a big-time winner. Have not seen the usual $25 discounts out yet and that is always a good thing. Whenever a company ramps up sales staff as BORL has been doing good things should follow. Also think JBuilder C/S has come out and is already sold out but not certain.

Anytime I like a stock it promptly sinks so take all of the above with a big pound of (iodized) salt.
