The issue isn't whether or not the U.S. could crush Iran like a bug -- it definitely could. The issue is whether or not Russia will sell missiles to Venezuela to circumvent the UN's security council resolutions against Iran, and whether Iran will enter into an agreement to acquire those missiles on Venezuelan soil and point them at the U.S. How will this development impact the U.S. dollar? Recall that the first action Saddam Hussein took when the U.S. beat him back from Kuwait was to launch SCUD missiles at Israel. Some of those missiles reached their targets. If Iran's regime has the opportunity to strike the U.S. with Russian missiles, it will do so regardless of the consequences. The regimes of North Korea and Venezuela would be more than happy to participate. The time to crush Iran and North Korea is before they attack, not after, but the U.S. may want to address its immigration problems and policies and clean up the nation first, because there are radicals in the United States who would be very happy to assist an Islamic state against the United States. -ng-
