I'm so happy with him I just spent his '12 donation on booze. I wish I could say it would last me until the election, but I'm a pretty small time donor. I doubt he'll even notice.

My view is as stated: Obama's favorables are higher at this point in his presidency than comparable presidents and Noonan simply got it wrong.

But if you follow up that question with, "Do you approve of the job Obama is doing overall?" you will find (according to the actual polls) that the great majority of his base does approve. Does that clear it up for you?
