half way to resolving issues is knowing the issues I would disagree.. Churchill said it best: "Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened." Recognizing the truth is far from actually dealing with it. I don't see any evidence that Bejing is any better at facing reality than in the US, Europe, or Japan. Leaders all have an interest in covering up, or flat-out denying, anything that might politically embarrass them. Hawk
