Personally, I'm quite OK with rates backing up. My guess is the economy will derive a net benefit of slightly higher rates.

Whether or not this week's action means the bond vigilantes are warming up is the question, I think, in plenty of minds right now. Only time will tell.

Yes, but the extra growth is being bought with deficit spending. It's not organic or natural, and that's the problem. The markets may be taking a longer view of things.
