No; I mean if you had his balls, you could give them back and he could, as they say, man up. That's what I would do, but I don't have them. The word "veto" seems to be one of those 4 letter ones people tell me I use too much. Wharf, even if he vetoed the tax cut extension for the rich, the Rs would have it back on the table come January. That's what the midterm elections were all about. Obama knows it so instead of fighting for a pyrrhic victory, he tried to do what's best for the entire American economy and most economists like what they see. Now you and I have the luxury of looking at the one issue....he does not. To pretend otherwise is being disingenuous. Obama is working with the country that elected him and not the one that you and koan wish were this country. The American people are not very liberal; not very progressive; not very well informed. That's the reality.
