He is doing exactly what he said he would in regards to the wars. You do realize we are on our way out of Iraq? Or did you miss the memo? Afghanistan he said he would fight. Already we are talking an end date.

A new bill has passed to reign in Wall Street. Or did you miss that, also? maybe he didn't drive the stake deep enough to appease the left?

and prosecuting tourturers... I realize how much white folk with money might like that idea and think it should be on top... but that has what to do with poor people? tell me. it's a luxury. period.

<<This country is not very liberal; not very progressive and its voters not very well informed. That is the sad reality of 2010. I am not willing to throw out what's left of the baby with the wash on some misguided hoped for liberal principles.>>

You are wrong tejek. Obama won on a very liberal campaign platform.

No, I am not wrong. You are wrong. He has implemented his platform and the voters don't much like it. I think the backlash would not have been nearly as bad if the economy had improved faster but it did not. The GOP has done a very good job of convincing voters that Obama's agenda is pure socialism. And how were they able to do that? American voters are terribly uninformed and uneducated compared to their European counterparts. In addition they tend to be apathetic.

How did he do that if the country is so conservative?

The voters wanted change.....they were sick of the wars and Bush had run the economy into the ground. It was a knee jerk reaction more than a change in ideology.

FACT: The US is right of center. Has been for a very long time. Its more like Alaska than CA.

The dems lost in 2010 because as soon as he was elected he started moving to the right. He did not take on the Wall Street crooks, get out of the wars, fight the MIC, close gitmo, prosecute the torturers, or fight the growing plutocratic danger, or address the depression head on like FDR did.

BS. He's mostly done what he said he would do. Most Americans, you included, never really bothered to go to his website and read his platform. Instead you filled in the gaps in your knowledge to fit whatever you wanted it to be.

I repeat. Obama won on a very liberal platform. How did he do that?

Because the American electorate is uninformed.....votes more on emotion than fact. Now that they've seen what he's about they don't like it. More importantly, they don't like the high unemployment and poor economy.
