Israel and the Arabic nations are prime examples of 'what you see is what Yiu get' nations

That's BS! I can believe it more about the Israelis, though they love their secrets and schemes..

But Arabs are hardly transparent, except in their animosity for Israel.

And those, like Sadat, who were pragmatic and willing to make peace, had to do so very cautiously, and only under certain circumstances.

For instance, Sadat wanted to make peace after the 1967 war and his later ascension to power. But he couldn't do so until after engaging in a display of power via the Yom Kippur war.

King Hussein of Jordan was secretly dealing with Israel for years. But he succumbed to the pressure to wage war against Israel in 1967 and paid dearly for that foolishness.

And in later years, he clearly had no love for Yasir Arafat or the PLO (they threatened his regime as well).

The list goes on regarding the various double-dealings and back-room deals that pervade Arab society.. The excel in the practice.

Hawk

Easy to solve EU crisis: in just 3 steps:

1) Delinquent country full disclosure of all skeletons on the closet.

2) Agree home work to be done.

3) "create credit lines that can be to countries that have adequate fiscal behavior and that are doing their homework"

Why is not being done?
1) Countries afraid of disclosing full extent fo the rot.

2) Cannot contemplate the home work to be done. Politically unpalatable. Crowds will revolt.

3) Doing paliative solutions to delay the unavoidable.
