Chomsky is a particularly evil little puke. He displays a trait too common among the narrowly brilliant minds we're conditioned to think of as intellectuals. He demonstrated extreme competence in a tiny slice of human knowledge, then tried to extrapolate fevered analysis to where he is utterly lacking in expertise. His foul and deluded prescriptions would lead toward repetition of past tragedies. Can I hazard a guess about the self-selection in that silly poll you posted? Some years ago a nephew enrolled at Evergreen College, a WA moron manufactory. Early on he showed me examples of assigned texts, one Chomsky, another Foucalt. I led him to better analysis and he found salvation. One saved, thousands and thousands since not. Those poor twits represent the sort who participated in that sad and pathetic poll. Yes, "education" nowadays too often produces nut cases. Do you have enough familiarity with The Anti-Chomsky Reader to offer a reasoned critique?
