Then you, too, would be defining yourself as an oxymoron. Support for individual freedom and support for socialism are intellectually inconsistent and incompatible.

Not that I expect you to understand why. I'd suggest some reading for you on the subject, but I suspect you would dismiss it out of hand like you do everything else that might challenge you to remove your ideological blinders.

"Socialist" != "has a social conscience"

More to the point socialism, unless its entirely voluntary which is not usually what we mean when we talk about socialism, is directly contradictory to individual freedom.
