Kevin,

Apple and MOT didn't drop the PPC ball. IBM did when they insisted on not shipping systems till OS/2 was ported to the PPC (which never happened.. gotta be confused how someone can make a chip and the software and not make them work together)... that and their hatred of MS that caused the MS PPC project (winnt) to be cancelled.

IBM is the reason the PPC didn't take off, IBM's name would have helped a lot.

I'ld say they're about ready to pick the ball back up. I might just buy a 500 Mhz G3 system. Windows emulation would still run faster than on today's 300 Mhz PII.
