Can you certify that you, Paul Engel and StockMan are not receiving compensation from Intel? If you cannot certify this, why should we believe anything you say. What I meant to say in the post you quoted was that all bugs that had any possibility of causing problems with commercial software had been fixed. This includes the Linux bug and the "REP MOVSL" bug. The remaining errata are so obscure that no one has ever demonstrated their existence except by design inspection. INTEL HAS 41 (FORTY ONE) ERRATA ON JUST THE PENTIUM II !!!!!!!!!!! Of these, they fixed 3 in the second stepping. At that rate, it might be fixed by the year 2027. It will be as bug free as the K6 by the year 2025. OH RATS, NO IT WON'T -- Intel says it refuses to fix most of the bugs! Petz

Elmer , So you are the knight in shining armour and trying to save investors for the church on Intel (bug free?) If AMD has the K6 bugs that you claim , how is it that we are hearing nothing but SERIOUS Intel bugs and not AMD bugs in the media? That was my point in case you missed it by saying the best defense is an offense . You really expect people to take your word as opposed to what we are hearing from the media ? Lets face it Elmer you are really Yousef or Stockwhatever in disguise. I think it would be good to get some other AMD investor opinions on the value of your posts . Don't count on a lot of support with exception of the aforementioned names . I personally do not think it is a good time to have a very long position on any Tech stock right now , but will be looking to pick up AMD calls near Xmas . Brian
