These are all distinctions without a difference. The state is forcing you to do something.

Hmmm...I guess the courts will sort out whether the government has the power to force a universal purchase under our current Constitution. The key word is "universal" - a requirement not based on a person's choice but on a person's existence.

You can't live without a job?
Tell that to all the retired people, children, housewives, etc. that do not have jobs, do not pay social security - yet continue to live! The key is whether something is a universal requirement to purchase something just because a person exists. Social Security is NOT a universal requirement and is not a purchase.
