"You've actually gone on record as wanting 90% and 99% tax rates."

Absolutely. A payroll tax on industrial robots, too.
Big one.. employer's share for an employee times the number of workers replaced by that robot.
Plus removing the cap on SS earnings. That alone will fix SS for 75 years. (Let's see..LeBron will pay what? 4% x 10 mil, plus the Heat's 6% X 10 mil... too bad they decided to fix SS by dropping the rate 2%, cuz 2% of 10M is a nice sum.)
This ain't exactly rocket science.
People make balancing the budget too hard.. It's not....

Budget puzzle: You fix the budget: Pretty good. Try it out:

Piece of cake. If only real life was that easy. 69% tax increases. That's about right. Prolly should be more like 75%.
Need a payroll tax on robots as an option.

Cut out contractors, slash the military except salaries for the working men and women, the tax break on employer health coverage, take all the taxes back to Clinton, end Bush tax cuts > 250K, add bank tax, carbon tax, millionaire tax, take off entire SS cap. Had to go with the modified Simpson Bowles POS, but the Times still has a limit on SS cap, 90%, and I want to end it totally, so maybe that will do it. Creates a surplus, I did, I did. 293B surplus in 2015

Not many cuts to the people; not even farm subsidies. No change on SS ages. I'm so nice I didn't even means test SS.
Power to the peep hole.
Thank you for your vote.
Don't forget to eat a millionaire today.

Brumar, > You've actually gone on record as wanting 90% and 99% tax rates.

He should try passing those rates in San Francisco first, then see how well that works out.

Even the Giants and the 49ers will want to move to San Jose ...
