One thing I think that the person reporting this initiallly forgot to realize is that it will take additional time to VERIFY the design of the processor. Sure it's great they have alpha silicon now, but don't forget they will have to get the bugs out (and there will be some bugs.. always are in alpha silicon).. I still think that early 2h98 is the earliest that is reasonable... amd just can't afford to be "playing" around with the chip in main production right now!
