Indeed, the arguments do remain the same. I'm not so much interested in the arguments as how people form and present their positions--what's going on behind the curtain. That's a tough nut to crack, at least to my satisfaction. After all this time, it still interests me. I also remain interested in and frustrated by the polarization and civility aspect of the problem, which has only grown worse. So I persist, intermittently.
