William - Your post is right on. This is looking more and
more like a repeat of 95. While a decline to p/e of 8 is
a virtual impossibility, a similar peak to trough percentage
change could be in the making which would take the stock
into the 50's. It would also take until mid January to play
itself out... like chinese water torture. But hey folks,
this is how the market works, the street giveth and taketh.

It's interesting to see these clueless yahoos come
come out of the woodwork to bash good companies when
they're declining. Investor A really has a handle on
business fundamentals doesn't he!

Sigh Sigh Sigh
I have to begin agreeing with all of you. There is no end to this down down down. Everything that happens is interpreted as bad. Even the feds not raising rates today was interpreted by the newscasters as bad because it meant that they were so worried about the Asian debacle that they were afraid to raise rates and upset things more!!
So I am selling my last bought (at 99) 200 shares of Dell which will bring my margin down to a small enough amount that I can hold on to everything else. Dont cry for me, I still have 200 shares in my IRA which luckily I cant margin!
I agree that the outlook for Dell, or any company, is not relevant at this time. Everything goes down with this market.
Oh well, We'll live!!!!!
How does the song go, "the sun will come up tomorrow"
Unless you are in Alaska where I guess they are getting close to 20 hour nights.
