My original question was to greg, asking if he believed his implication that the society in the modern USA was not secular. I have spent good-faith effort in answering your counterclaim, if I understand it as such, that elements, components, fragments of society andor societies in the USA are demonstrably not secular. In my opinion that is beside the point, a diversion. What I have seen is an attempt on your behalf to make my question disappear by dissecting it into pieces such that I'm hard pressed to recognize my original question. I'd like to move back a few spaces and refocus what attention remains on the question I had about the original claim that no progressively secular society has survived three generations, let alone one.
