Actually, we don't even have "half the story". The OEM business is far more important than the retail channel. Accounts for more like 75-80% of the drives shipped. Our real info is minimal about it.

I had bad dreams last night of standing up in a QNTM shareholder meeting, and telling them (management) that they were robbing us (shareholders) of the value of our company by not separating DLT from the drive business. They ought (I said with quite a self righteous flair) to just do the same thing with it that they did with the head business, if they didn't want to get rid of the whole thing--take a minority share, get a couple billion bucks from MKE + assumption of the debt, buy back some shares, and speed up development of the 100 gig upgrade. Stock price would jump to the 80s next year if they did this, maybe higher.

They just smiled nervously, and said nothing. Applause from the audience, though.
