For the short answer, see the 10 year chart of EUR-USD

For the longer answer, note that many countries, including Euro-zone, Canada, and Australia artificially try to keep their currency low...at least for now, given their economic policies. However, I expect this to change over the next 5 years, especially for Euro and Australia.

China does not seek to replace USD with EUR; they are clearing their stash by buying land and natural resources around the world, especially in Africa. Essentially, China is reserving their seat before the music stops.

And so we have. And to extend the analogy, then you'd get fat and rust out and when you have to deliver some hard work for earn your keep, you will have a very hard time.
