For me, that is sufficient and more useful.] Ethics is either the philosophy of moral ideas and values and the study of them, or its a formal set of rules at least distantly connected to moral ideas, or its an individuals set of moral values. Some of its definitions are the same as those of morality, others are connected.

I observed that you were exercised over incest ... I think I'd indicated before I'm really more exercised over the willingness of many to tolerate and institutionalize incest. That this guy and his daughter committed incest is bad but the law will deal with them. People speaking up that hey, the law should tolerate it, even give incestuous unions marriage licenses ... thats a bigger problem for society than one man and his daughter. inbreeding like that is a terrible idea Marriage doesn't necessarily mean children Usually it does and children are a primary reason for the institution. just don't apply purity to sexuality Some people seem to think that morality is all about sex. It's not but it is about sex too. More frequently its about responsibility but sexual issues are usually issues of responsibility. For me, that is sufficient and more useful.] Morality, ethics, values, virtues and vices (ooh, I'll bet you don't like those two either), right and wrong, good and evil .... its all about the same thing. It seems unfortunate to me that people can be so repelled by religion, they reject even the language of right and wrong.
