China is not simply buying real estate the way Japan did. China is leasing farming land, mineral rights, oil and gas rights, etc. It is clear they expect to have a shortage of food and natural resources and want to ensure their supply. There is no "bubble" to burst here. If there is no shortage in the future, then China will simply export the minerals and food to the rest of the world. You could not do the same with NYC and LA real estate.
