Average IQs of men and women are about the same. IQ variance is greater in men, which results in a lot more super stupid as well as a lot more super smart men than women -- though of course the absolute numbers of these extremes is very low. So bottom line, the probability of a female Einstein is a lot lower than the probability of a male one. But an average woman is smarter than half of all men, just like an average man.
