Richard, I have of course also bailed out from APM as all the other hapmsters. I did it at the open when WDC announcement came. Naturally I got out of WDC also. Previous to this I decided to cash in on PAIR and IOM for gains. Today I made some money on the short side.

As a result of the currency crisis now circling the globe I
started rereading Lester Thurow's book The Future of Capitalism. The chapters on the mexican peso crisis in 94 was what I was particularly interested in. That crisis was handled pretty easily from the point of view of the american market, but not obviously from the vantage point of a mexican worker. It seems to me that this crisis today is much deeper than that in 94, as it involves many more countries. The pundits are claiming that the the Malasian and Thai ecxonomies are too small to matter, but now we have Korea, Hong Kong and Brasil involved. Major brokarage house in Japan went under today. These change the sentiment and who knows what is ahead. If you haven't read this book, it is good reading. Thurow has an engaging style and fun to read.

Regards, Seppo
