i wonder if the CPI includes taxes, surcharges and hidden fees in the CPI
good example would be auto, airline tix, utilities, tickets (recreation)

the CPI means jack crap to me. I have 15 years of my own personal buying data in Quicken that shows the dollar is crap.

What is the inflation rate on sporting and music tickets in last 10 years?

I wonder if colleges still have quarter beer night?
lets see laundry or get drunk...those were the days.

I assume grants and loans are used as way to get cheap beer nowadays.

T,

No, he wants cake and to eat it.

He does not want to crush anything. Bennie wants everything under the sun to go up, up, up, perhaps forever.

The reality is that he may elect to take some froth off the top of equities in exchange for say 60 basis points on the Ten. Bennie is very happy with a 2.7 on the Ten.

The rest of what you posted is all good and factual stuff, but we both know that facts, fundamentals, and all that good stuff we use to arrive at "approximately" fair value is pretty meaningless right now. It will not always be that way of course and your TBT might be the first to really move and reflect a more realistic repricing, but right now, fraud prevails.
