The strategy would have been for Obama to do what he said 2 years ago when he had the chance. Instead, he thought he would out do Clinton and ram health care reform thru. That blew up in his face and we found out he was willing to sell out the American public in favor of the for profit health care industry.

It went down hill fast from there. Once a wall st. whore, it's hard to stop.
