See your point-------if the income taxes were totally abolished----repealed.

Frankly, my problem with VAT is that you still have the tax collection and record keeping problem where VAT would be added each step of the way. Hence, we would still have a massive beauracracy(sp?) overseeing and collecting VAT.

Is there a nation/country that has gone in that direction?
