Back in early 2001 the stocks [AMAT chart below as a proxy] started going up - probably in anticipation of a bookings V. The V became a U and price fell again and made a new low. Price may be going up now in anticipation - again. In 2006 there was no price response to a new bookings peak. It's good to know what bookings are doing but it's not a reliable predictor of stock price.
