CNBC will always try to look on the bright side. Perhaps they are afraid that, if the market took a header, they would lose ratings.

I've only traded full time since around 1991. I'll be 46 shortly (Why is it I love any word that includes the root word "short"?) and the way the market has been boring me to distraction I have taken it out on SS....perhaps because I am of Irish descent and telling stories is a genetic fault.

So, in keeping with that, I consider myself a serious trader. I was having a discussion with a friend of mine who calls himself an 'Investor'. So I asked him, "What's the difference between a trader and an investor?" He replied, "I don't know, let me think about it for a while . .

In case anyone takes that personally it was only meant as a joke.

Co-incidentally, on Fishback I just got this in my e-mail...

Regarding his ODDS strategy, it is a sound tool. Essentially, he tells you how to calculate the
probability of an option being worthless at expiration. You can get this same information from a
variety of sources like McMillan's Options as a Strategic Investment. I think it is very helpful
information to have, but would not trade it by itself.

Fishback has some other products I believe--I just received a brochure in the past few
weeks--but I believe they are based on his probability strategies.
