Stealing copper? Cripes - that is old news. Norman Lear did that with Sanford and Son back in the 70s.

Though it is a little foggy - basically a guy was selling Fred and Lamont copper. One day they were waiting a long time for him to show up at the diner. From what I remember, he eventually showed up and they paid him for the copper.

They get home and are about use water and find not only NO WATER - but NO PIPES!

Not only did the guy steal their pipes, he sold it back to them!

Norman Lear (All in the Family; The Jeffersons; Maude; Sanford and Son; Good Times; One Day at a Time) or Sherwood Schwartz (Gilligan's Island; The Brady Bunch). Where would I be without them?
