Hard to believe 24 hrs. ago this stock was bidding 21, now it is 18 1/2-man, this is getting OLD. I think that test of 17 1/2 will happen within the hour.

At certain point, the US market will say: screw Hong Kong, let's take a closer look at *our* companies fundamentals. Besides, even with Asia's turmoil, Taiwan is still extremely bullish in chip manufacturing. Keep in mind that Hang Seng went up at a ridiculous rate not too long ago.

Jess, thanks for the news from HK, very informative. HK is famous for bank runs, glad to hear they have stopped it, a bank going under might start a general bank run and REALLY cream the world market.

Well, we've been warned. I think I'll pull my horns in a little closer to home.

Jess - Thanks for your very informative post about conditions in Asia. It means more when someone who lives there posts this kind of information.

Dear Jess:

I am an "Asianist" of some years standing.

Recently, I have noticed that the Asian "news" just doesn't penetrate the US press. People here don't want to know. I am starting a thread "The Golden Swamp... Asia in 2010".

It seems an opportune time. Asia is about to hit the wall. Hard. Those who want to stand up for Asia... start communicatiing!

I am having some trouble starting a thread. I shouild figure it out. Alternatively, you shoulfd start a thread.
