My point is that if such a simple two word message is "extremely likely" to be nonrandom, then a much more complicated information encoded message is even less likely to originate from a random source.

As far as your distinguishing information "meant for an outside reader" from information in general, I fail to see the significance. Is "DRINK COKE" any less an encoded message if you didn't read it?

Does computer software encode information encode information meant for an outside reader? For that matter, if I write a note to myself is that meant for an outside reader?

The restriction "for an outside reader" isn't a necessary requirement for encoding information.

Most human encoded writing is for other humans ... an "outside reader" but an outside reader isn't a necessary requirement for writing.
