Maybe not the national debt but gives a clue as to why our kids only rank 27-28th in math and science in the developed world...
Imagine...21st Century and we have 40% creationists....

"Does that help or hurt the national debt? Recession? Housing bust? Unemployment numbers?"

Well, I'd certainly say that the fact the 40% of us say foo on science, facts and logic, I'm gonna believe this superstitious crap instead, indicates that 40% of us shouldn't HAVE any say on how things are run. The fact that they DO has led us to where we ARE.

Because one of our two political parties PANDERS to these idiots, depends on them, has led us to ALL those problems. We get the gummint we deserve, and what does that mean when 40% of us just don't want to consider science, numbers or rational thought at all?
