Greg,

The big OPEC concern would be Iraq coming back into the stream. As you can tell from recent news, that doesn't seem like a likely in the near future. The figures I've seen estimate 6% a year increase in crude oil consumption through the end of the century.

.........india and china, imho, are growing economies. in fact, in software and technology india is becoming a strong presence. and, china's strength will probably pressure ASEAN countries rather than the other way around. i think both may slow but are still growing rapidly and slowly deregulating.

......tax cuts in japan (which are possible) could help ignite their stagnant economy and increase oil use.
