Thanks for the reminder....that's why I dislike O'Neil.

When ordering Daily Graphs they asked for my phone number so I unwittingly gave it to them.

Here I am in a trading room trying to guess the daily low on INTC when Joe RookieBroker cold calls me....several calls a week. You try to be nice but some of these guys don't get it. Why the hell would a guy at a trading desk need a broker? And you know that most people who buy Daily Graphs are not working as a doctor, say, and might need a full-service broker so why in hell would a broker buy a list from IBD? I know it was IBD because one or two of the guys told me once I told them I was in the business and asked where he bought the list from.

A friend of mine was an options trader for Salomon and the same thing happened to him. Can you imagine, a call comes in to Salomon's desk from Joe at xxx Brokers and this guy is waiting for him to tell him something like "I got 1000 COMS Jan 20s to go" and it turns out the guy just wants to introduce himself and ask if he followed the pick he gave him 4 months ago? (A standard 'boiler room' ruse.)
