As I said, we are not engaged in "war" in any conventional sense of the word. We are engaged in a policing action. It is worse than streets of Chicago and not as bad as Mexican anti-drug enforcement. But it is still a policing action.

Here is an alternative explanation, to bring the discussion back to what I said in my original post: having faster fighter jets, bigger bombs, more tanks, etc would not be making an iota of difference to the war in Iraq or Afghanistan. We don't need bigger weapons; we need different ones.

Now if you watched the original video by Thomas Barnett, you'd have no difficulty understanding what I am telling you.
