My first job was on a state-owned company. At 21 I was less educated, less experienced that today.

Instinctively I perceived that system was not good.

On paper it was very attractive.

You'd have a career path. You would be promoted by seniority.

You would be trained. You would only be fired if:

You stole, or for gross negligence or doing something illegal. Else your job was for life.

Still I look at it and did not like. When I left my colleagues warned:
You will be leaving this for the unknown, companies would exploit you. You will be fired. You don't know tomorrow out there.

It was this: working for safety, you would know tomorrow. And people wants to have tomorrow to be guaranteed.

WHY THE HELL SEEK SECURITY IF THE WORLD IS INSECURE?

I never understood that (in capitals).
