There is a natural ebb and flow to the deer population in my area, so it is possible that the herd will come back. The forest preserves around Argonne are very spacious and there are no natural predators. I have spent a lot of time hiking around Argonne.

I was talking to a friend this afternoon who saw the deer while on a Boy Scout hike 45 years ago. It was an organized trail and he got a patch with a white deer on it. I go out of my way to drive through the area.
