hi rose, No, i don't think you can use the apps on anything other than an ipad. I just tried to open a couple of apps on my iMac and nothing happened, so I think the programming code must be very specific. Would be nice if you could though as most apps are very inexpensive. On a related topic - one problem I have had, which I haven't worked on again recently, is uploading into my pbase galleries. Last time I tried, I couldn't do so from the iPad as the upload interface on pbase did not recognize the iPad. I'll have to check and see if the O/S upgrade on the iPad has made a difference, or if pbase has created an app to make it compatible. So, there are still some problems as far as platforms are concerned, but I think that a lot of them will be worked out over the next while as web developers begin to take the iPad into account. ~croc

oops.. forgot to mention the weather. it's been sort of perfect for the past month. about 70 to 75F most days and only a bit of rain during the night on 2 nights. we're into slightly cooler weather now - 60s, but it usually spikes up to around 70 or 75 for awhile during the warmest part of the day. nights are cool, but not cold. i think there have only been about 5 or 6 nights when water in a puddle might freeze. you and h-man should come down for a visit sometime! the door is always open here. (o:
