One area that Obama needs to address is military spending. It needs to be cut drastically. Pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan. The worldwide intelligence network to combat terrorism has been very successful. Now Yemen has joined that intelligence network.

Besides, Karzai is undermining the US efforts in Afghanistan and hence it does not maje sense for the US taxpayers' dollars being spent there any more.

The tax cuts have been agreed to and hence is water under the bridge. Looks like the economy is already picking up. The tax cut is not the cause of the pickup in the economy but it is unknown what impact the introduction of a tax increase would have at this stage. If the economy picks up by 2012, then the revenues will increase and that in itself would offset the deficits (Clinton sera scenario).

Patience is the keyword. This nation is in good hands.
