I note that several of the oil stocks, BP included bottomed out last summer during the time that the BP gulf oil spill was hemorrhaging away. It would have been a great time to bulk up on big oil. Now, six months later with oil heading towards $100 a barrel these stocks have risen like tech stocks in the 1990s. $147 a barrel is not an unreasonable upside, given the fears of Peak Oil, general inflation, world demand growth and the severe cold of this winter season.
