The grand irony is that it is exactly global warming which is causing this extreme cold on the southeast coast. Remember how cold last year was on the east coast. Record cold.

And this year even colder.

And each year the arctic ocean gets warmer from both the sun and warm currents coming in; and the subsequent high pressure area stronger each winter as the arctic releases heat which forces the jet stream with even more strength and consequently even more arctic air goes south.

Next year will be even worse.

As mentioned to rat, if you look at the arctic from a birds eye view, you can see that where the arctic air pushes the jet stream moving west to east, is past Alaska.

So little of the bitter cold arctic air is pushed down here.

And even to Europe the cold is pused down by the warm arctic ocean high pressure area pushing the jet stream south.

And we remain toasty warm. Third year of record warmth up here. Greenland stays warm as well as the cold air is pushed south before it gets to Greenland. I think that is part.

We have had huge low pressure areas lieing right in the gulf of Alaska channeling warm air from Hawaii to us. Pineapple express.

The other part is the change in direction to some degree of the gulf stream which is now pouring into the arctic via Greenland. Yupik veryify this saying the ice is melting from the bottom.

You're only as old as the woman you feel
And in the case of 84-year-old Hugh Hefner, that's 24 – the age of his latest wife-to-be
