Basically it's a mess if you try to restore a backup image from a mechanical hard drive onto a SSD. Something about sectors and offsets. You need Windows7 to handle a SSD properly. A fresh install of XP runs half as fast as it could.

I've got a SSD recently and don't use it. A waste of money if you don't have Windows7...

The latest version of Acronis still doesn't work with SSDs.
