Answer; I seriously doubt that large swaths of the upper mid-west have normal highs below 9° with lows at or below -7°. Look at other regions & you see the same disparant departures from normal, all to the upside.

Our summer was just horrible. Wet, cold, cloudy and more spring like than summer like. It was one of those summers that makes me want to move to a warmer climate. The last one we had like it was in the summer of '80 after mt st helens blew. I believe the volcanic eruption of Eyjafjallajökull in Iceland played a role. I don't give much credence to GW advocates. Advocates obviously have an ulterior motive.
