Bonnie,

Agree absolutely re: ESchwab....it's tough to make a buck when the playing field isn't even level. Some days you can't get thru on internet site, some days can't get thru at all....&, my nearest branch is 50 miles away. Have been looking for a broker who offers internet access, but is also close to my (Northern Indiana) location. So far, no luck. Bummer....

Bonnie, You asked about good brokers. If you trade options, I'd highly recommend ED & F Man (formerly Gelderman) in Chicago. They usually answer on the first ring (even on the 500+ down day) and get excellent fills. John Hopkins or Pete Stolcers can be reached at 800-437-8709. They also do stocks, shorts, etc. Costs me $4 a contract for OEX options. I've been with them for about 10 years.
Hope this helps. I really enjoy your posts. I feel like I found a home and family on this thread! I only get scorn and derision among my colleagues, who have been counting their paper profits while I philosophise about valuations and cause their eyes to glaze over.

Jack
