Yeah, not fun. He was a crook, thou, while Bernie shielded the family. Likely nobody ran a Ponzi - lost a bundle during crisis and concealed from investors so they don't pull out, and then it all blew up. Technically this is criminal, especially since very large amounts were involved and salaries were paid based on fake accounting. Madoff became a scapegoat for all of WS, while real crooks are at large. I am still not sure fake accounting was done for years - when " they" come, things tend to be quite exaggerated. Bernie's new address is sure 1 Hell Street. Shielding didn't work
